Videodrome This Saturday!!

For the uninitiated, Videodrome is a one of a kind video dj extravaganza with the latest in video mixing technology all mixed up with one of the wildest dance parties in the city. There I said it in one sentence! Gabe Vega will provide the beats and video with support from Young Guns resident DJ Groundfloor and Eric Diaz will be joining in for some fun. Quite the musical menage.

The word has been touted around by bartenders and mixologist alike for several decades to describe the way a cocktail "should" be made. Much like the way ancient explorers sought out El Dorado - The City of Gold - We here at El Dorado have been seeking the proper way to make cocktails for as long as we can remember. However, we never thought to apply the same concept to the way we throw parties. We have have been blessed with great promoters and DJs who have made this place an amazing experience for all. But last night, we officially embarked upon our journey to find the proper party. It was the first in a series of events to be hosted by our very own Otis the Buffalo. In our journey we will be humble and eager to learn. Join us as we learn to what it means to throw a "proper party."

Holy Ghost! (DFA, NYC) at Boys & Girls Saturday

This Saturday SUPER special guests HOLY GHOST! pays a visit to El Dorado for Boys & Girls, along w/ locals Adam Salter, Saul Q., and Lord Nelson!

Brooklyn's Holy Ghost! are Nicholas Millhiser and Alex Frankel. The duo was originally part of the live rap group Automato whose debut was produced by DFA's James Murphy and Tim Goldsworthy. Nicholas is also part of The Juan Maclean live band. Now they've stepped out on their own to be among the leaders in the current disco revival that is quickly takin over dance floors across the globe, using these amazing analogue sounds...

Holy Ghost! are currently signed to DFA Records, the legendary New York label that is home to the likes of LCD Soundsystem, Hot Chip and The Juan MacLean...

Holy Ghost! delivered masterpiece single “Hold On”, which forms a
hybrid of 70s American disco and more synth-heavy italo shapes : atypical top quality DFA outing.
