French Electronic Music Pioneer to Appear at El Dorado

This Saturday Boys & Girls has a very, very special guest. A little info for you...

Straight out of Paris, France, and part of the Daft Crew/Mafia (Daft Punk, DJ
Falcon, Play Paul, etc), ALAN BRAXE has been pioneering the French
electronic sound since 1997. In 1998, one of the greatest hits in
electronic music was born: "Music Sounds Better With You”. This came
about thanks to Braxe's collaboration with Thomas Bangalter (half of
Daft Punk) and Benjamin Diamond, under the name Stardust.

In 2000 Braxe created his own label, Vulture, and released "Intro/Running”
w/ frequent production partner Fred Falke, which once again proved to
be a hit and dance floor classic. His most recent hit "Addicted" was
released on the ever-so-popular Kitsune label.

Braxe has remixed and collaborated w/ artists such as Justice, Björk, Annie, Kylie
Minouge, and Goldfrapp. His DJ sets have proved to be just as
entertaining as his production and are not to missed!

Introducing the first in a series of some of the most flavorful unique Acoustic Entertainment in San Diego. This Wednesday we bring you "El Dorado Unplugged" featuring Latanya Locket. You may have seen/heard Latanya as a special guest with the Grown Folk House Band on Thursday nights here at the El D. This time she is back with guitarist Paul West to bring some chic to the midweek with some ol' fashion Jazz and Blues. And don't forget El Dorado's very own E-Boy (Eric Untalan) will be starting the night off with some sick blues/reggae!

This event will be unique!!! The Artists will be performing completely devoid of amplification... No Mics! No Wire! No Amps!!!

Boys & Girls Saturday Sept. 5th

This Saturday Boys & Girls brings you it's first ever theme party - "I Love Vampires," in honor of your favorite El D bartender, (no not Miranda...nobody likes her)...Chef Niki G! We'll be celebrating her 21st birthday....again. Wear red & black, fake blood, fangs, etc. This is the one night biting will be permitted. Myself and Erick Diaz will be headlining the night as The Analog Show, so be prepared to be deaf by the end of the night, as we have no concept of volume control. Plus we have the DJ debut of Squid Vicious (I'm in North County Bitch); he gets loose.

So come prepared. We'll have $4 True Blood Cocktails for all the vampires. Yes, you only get the Blood cocktail for $4 if you are dressed like a vampire!
